CrossExchange Auto Trader Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CrossExchange Auto Trader collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our Chrome extension and related services.
Last updated: April 28, 2026
1. Single Purpose
CrossExchange Auto Trader is designed to help users scan supported crypto exchanges for cross-exchange price differences, view scanner alerts, manage connected exchange accounts, and optionally use semi-automated or automated execution controls.
We use data only to provide these product features and to keep the extension functional, secure, and reliable.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the extension, we may collect or process the following information:
- License information: license key, activation status, plan status, and related activation records.
- Extension settings: scanner settings, selected exchanges, notification preferences, risk settings, and UI preferences.
- Exchange connection information: exchange name, account label, permissions, connection status, and encrypted exchange credentials when you choose to connect an exchange.
- Scanner and trading-related data: scanner status, symbol availability, opportunity data, diagnostics, execution status, and related operational logs.
- Technical data: API request status, error logs, timestamps, and performance information needed to operate and troubleshoot the service.
3. Exchange Credentials and Encryption
If you choose to connect exchange accounts, the extension may send your exchange API key, API secret, and passphrase, where applicable, to our backend service for encrypted storage and exchange connectivity.
Exchange credentials are encrypted before storage and are not displayed after submission. They are used only to connect to the exchanges selected by the user and to provide scanner or execution features requested by the user.
We recommend using API keys with the minimum permissions required. Do not enable withdrawal permissions on exchange API keys.
4. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Activate and validate user licenses.
- Provide scanner status, alerts, and diagnostics.
- Store user settings and scanner preferences.
- Connect to supported exchanges when the user chooses to add exchange credentials.
- Provide optional semi-auto and auto execution controls.
- Send Chrome notifications or Telegram alerts when enabled.
- Protect the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.
5. Permissions Used by the Extension
Used to save local extension preferences, activation state, cached status, and scanner settings.
Used to show scanner alerts, license status updates, and important extension notifications.
Used to run scheduled background checks for scanner status, license validation, and alert polling.
Used only to communicate with the CrossExchange Auto Trader backend API and related service endpoints.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell user data. We do not transfer user data to third parties for advertising, profiling, lending, or creditworthiness purposes.
Data may be processed by infrastructure providers used to operate the service, such as hosting, database, and security providers, only as necessary to provide the extension’s functionality.
7. Remote Code
The extension does not execute remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly. The extension communicates with backend APIs to exchange data required for license activation, scanner status, settings, and connected exchange features.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and support users.
Users may remove connected exchanges from the extension or contact support to request account-related data deletion where applicable.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect user data, including encrypted credential storage, access controls, and secure backend communication.
No system is completely risk-free. Users should protect their own accounts with strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and restricted exchange API permissions.
10. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for their own trading decisions, exchange accounts, API permissions, and risk management.
CrossExchange Auto Trader is a scanner and automation tool. Market conditions may change quickly, and opportunities shown by the scanner may not always be executable.
11. Children’s Privacy
CrossExchange Auto Trader is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
